Kilimanjaro is the world's tallest free-standing mountain at 5,895 m. It is a walk, not a climb - but altitude makes it serious.
Machame is our default: seven days, good acclimatisation, spectacular scenery. Lemosho adds a day.
Train with weighted hikes for three months. Hydrate obsessively. Ascend slowly.
